Privacy notice
What this site collects, why, and how to get rid of it. This describes what the application actually does, and it is checked against the code rather than adapted from a template.

This document is not finished
The following details are required and have not been supplied. They were deliberately not guessed, because an invented address or jurisdiction is a false statement in a legal document rather than an untidy one.
- Registered address — missing
- Governing law — missing
Set them in lib/site-config.ts and this notice removes itself.
The short version
We collect an email address and a name so you can have an account. We use Stripe for payment and never see your card details. We measure which pages get read. We do not sell anything about you to anyone, and there is no advertising on this site.
What we store when you buy a place
- Your name and email address, so the account exists and we can reach you.
- A password, stored only as a one-way hash. We cannot read it.
- A reference to your Stripe checkout session, so a payment can be matched to a place.
- Your cohort, chosen track and enrolment status.
- Which landing page version you arrived on, and which project you clicked, so we can tell which explanations work.
What we store when you sign in
- A session token, and when it expires.
- The IP address and browser user agent attached to that session, which is how a stolen session is spotted.
What we never see
Card numbers, bank details and everything else about the payment instrument. That goes directly to Stripe from your browser and never reaches our servers. Stripe collects your email and billing address to process the payment, under their own privacy policy.
Measurement
We use PostHog to count page views and page exits and to record which landing page version somebody saw. Individual profiles are created only for people who have signed in — anonymous visitors are counted, not profiled.
This is used to decide which pages to rewrite. It is not used to build a profile for advertising, and it is not shared for that purpose.
Who else processes your data
- Stripe — payments, and the email and billing address given at checkout.
- Cloudflare — hosting, the database and file storage. Data is held in Cloudflare infrastructure.
- PostHog — the measurement described above.
- Model and hosting providers used during the course, on accounts you create and control.
Students under 18
The student cohorts are for 13 to 17 year olds, and a parent or guardian makes the purchase. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child under 13, and if we learn we have, we delete it.
A parent or guardian may ask to see, correct or delete everything held about their child, and may ask for a workspace account to be closed. Write to the address below and it will be done — there is no form and no retention argument.
Student project work stays with the student. We do not publish a student's work, name or image without asking first.
How long it is kept
Account and enrolment records are kept while the account is open, and for as long afterwards as is needed for tax and accounting records. Sessions expire on their own. Measurement data is kept in aggregate.
Ask us to delete your account and we will, apart from the payment records we are required to retain.
Cookies
A cookie holds your sign-in session — without it you cannot stay signed in. Measurement uses local storage in your browser to tell one visit from the next.
There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers beyond the measurement described above.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete it, and the account with it.
- Turn on Do Not Track or a content blocker — measurement will not run, and nothing on the site stops working.
Getting in touch
Write to academy@genintelsys.com. A person reads it. If you are a parent asking about your child's data, say so and it will be dealt with first.
Postal: TO BE COMPLETED.
