Terms of sale
These terms cover buying a place on a Comet Academy cohort. They are written to be read once, in plain language, and they say what happens when something goes wrong as clearly as when it goes right.

The following details are required and have not been supplied. They were deliberately not guessed, because an invented address or jurisdiction is a false statement in a legal document rather than an untidy one.
- Registered address — missing
- Governing law — missing
Set them in lib/site-config.ts and this notice removes itself.
Who you are buying from
Comet Academy is operated by General Intelligence Services. You can reach a person at academy@genintelsys.com, and a real one will answer.
Registered address: TO BE COMPLETED.
What you are buying
A place on a live, supervised three-week cohort at $950, paid once. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
A place includes the live sessions, the recordings, the build catalogue, a one-to-one session with the instructor, and the model usage needed to complete one project. Hardware projects include an electronics kit posted to you.
Refunds
You can cancel for any reason up to seven days before the cohort starts and receive a full refund. No explanation is needed. Write to academy@genintelsys.com.
Inside the final seven days the place is no longer refundable, because the group size is fixed and a late cancellation cannot be filled. If something serious has happened, write anyway — this is a small operation and it is run by a person, not a policy engine.
If we cancel or postpone a cohort, you get a full refund, or a place on the next one, whichever you prefer.
Age, and who signs up
The student cohorts are designed for people aged 13 to 17. If the student is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must make the purchase and agrees to these terms on the student's behalf.
We do not knowingly sell to, or create accounts for, anyone under 13.
What the student owns
The student owns what they build. The code, the designs and the hardware are theirs outright, including anything built on top of material we supply. There is no revenue share and no licence back to us.
We will not publish a student's work, name or image without asking first. Permission is per-item, and saying no changes nothing about the place.
What is not promised
The course teaches you to build and ship one working project. It does not promise income, a job, an investment, admission anywhere, or that a project will succeed commercially. Nobody honest can promise those, and anyone who does should be treated with suspicion.
It is not accredited, and it does not carry academic credit or continuing legal education credit.
Third-party services and running costs
Projects use outside services — model providers, hosting, and component suppliers. Their availability, pricing and terms are theirs, not ours, and they can change without notice.
The model usage needed to finish one project during the cohort is covered. Usage beyond that, and anything you run after the cohort ends, is billed to your own accounts. The final week covers setting spending caps before anything goes live, and the catalogue states an estimated monthly cost for every software project.
Conduct
The cohort is small and live. Behaviour that makes the room worse for other students — harassment, sharing others' work as your own, or disrupting sessions — ends the place. In that case a refund is at our discretion and will depend on what happened and when.
Session recordings are for the students on that cohort. Do not republish them.
Changes to the course
We may adjust the schedule, the tools or the material. If a change materially reduces what you bought, we will say so before it happens and you may take a full refund at that point, whether or not the seven-day window has passed.
Liability
Some projects involve electronics, batteries, tools and soldering. Adult supervision is expected for students under 18, and instructions on safe handling are given in the material. You are responsible for the safety of the environment the student works in.
To the extent the law allows, our liability arising from the course is limited to what you paid for the place. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of TO BE COMPLETED.
